Robust, spreading sedge native to much of CA and the Pacific NW. An extremely popular grass for use in creating naturalized meadows. An ideal choice, recommended by many city agencies for use in retention basins and bioswales. Can also serve as a lawn substitute with an occasional mowing.
 
Adaptable to a variety of soil and moisture conditions, grows well in sun or half shade. Hardy to 0°.
