A chance seedling discovered and introduced by John Greenlee.  A clumping, compact grass adaptable to a wide range of conditions.  Tolerate regular watering to fairly dry conditions, full sun to shade, not fussy about soil.  Seemingly always in bloom with unassuming, dark colored flower spikes.  Dependable when used in groupings or as a larger-scale ground cover.  Perfect for container plantings, in smaller beds or along walkways.  Hardy to 10°
