STIPA ICHU
PERUVIAN FEATHER GRASS
Native of Central America to South America. Clumping grass to 2’-3’ tall with beautiful, bright green, fine textured foilage almost identical looking to the popular Mexican feather grass, Nassella tenuissima. This species does not reseed uncontrollably as does its more popular cousin. The long, slender, silvery-white feathery flower stalks create quite a show in spring and summer. Full sun, heat and drought tolerant. Cut back annually in the winter. Hardy to 10°.
